Support Worker

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Limavady.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

What we're looking for:

• Someone who is caring and patient and has a genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

• Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.)
• You will actively be reducing social isolation by supporting to social groups & activities.
• Supporting with Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and to use the bathroom.
• Using Positive Behaviour Support Strategies to help improve people’s quality of life.

Contract options:

• Full-time: 37.5 hrs
• Part-time:

Shift times:

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 3 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

• Days: 8.00am – 8.00pm
• Waking Nights: 8.00pm – 8.00am
