Hays are proud to be working with a reputable company who have services throughout the UK. They have one service based in Colchester which is a small residential service for children and young people with emotional and behavioural disorders. They have partnered with Hays to source residential children's Support Workers that are dedicated to providing high quality therapeutic care to children with emotional and behavioural disorders.
This is a very fulfilling position and will be making a real difference to these children's lives, aiding them to develop and gain healthy independence and control over their emotions and behaviours.
Your daily role will include all aspects of care, including but not limited to, organising activities, promoting communication to improve positive outcomes for young people and administering medication. You will need to be kind, patient, caring and have a calming approach as the children require a calm environment, otherwise, they may become unsettled.
This position is a full-time permanent position and the shift patterns will be discussed after we have received applications. There is also a competitive rate of pay based on experience and performance.
To be considered for this role, you must have experience working within the Social Care industry. However, this does not have to be within the Children's sector although, of course, this is preferred. There are training, development and career progression opportunities within this organisation.
