We have an exciting opportunity at Sense for a Support Worker to join our fantastic Day service at our Sense Centre in Leeds and Wakefield. This is the perfect role for a Support Worker wanting flexible day time hours to suit your family needs.

Sense is offering you an hourly rate of £11.75 with enhanced rates for overtime and annual pay review/rises

The Centre is open Monday to Sunday9.30am-4.30pm. Shifts can be 9.30-3.30pm or 9.30-4.30pm. This is a permanent contract working 30-35 hours per week over 5 days (hours will be discussed at interview)

We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are:

• Positive, with a can-do attitude
• Caring and empathetic
• Passionate about enhancing other people’s lives
• Basic IT Skills
• Have a full UK manual driving license is essential
• Willing to drive larger vehicles
• BSL level 1 desirable
• Willing to attend training as needed to support you in your role
• Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments / learning difficulties is beneficial
• Experience of working within the Health & Social Care sector would be desirable

No two days will be the same

• Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning
• Personal care and hygiene
• Finances
• Medication and wellbeing

• leisure activities of the person’s choice, for example, gym, swimming, attending groups, pubs, shopping, rally’s, day trips etc.
