- Salary: £23,400 per year, pro rata + Benefits
- Hours: up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis

We are on the lookout for Support Workers who are calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love.
Furthermore, as Support Worker you will be responsible for:
- Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; medication and administration
- Getting to know the people you will care for and help them to live the life they want to live
- Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you will care for
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of
- Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims
- Planning and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities
- Assisting the people, you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for, and attending any appointments
- Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality
- To work in accordance with SeeAbility’s values
Who will you be supporting?
At Jacobs Close you will work as a team to provide support for a young adult with learning disability, autism, nutrition needs and behaviour that may be challenging. As a Support Worker your contribution will be invaluable.
The gentleman you will be supporting loves horse riding and spending time with his family. You have to be a driver with Full UK Driving License for this role in order to be able to drive the person we support at his appointments to Hydrotherapy pool and sensory room.

Responsibilities
- Providing direct support when displaying behaviours to enable him to participate in a wide range of activities
- Ensure good working practice including understanding and awareness of health and safety
- To promote independence and develop skills whilst assisting with all tasks necessary to ensure positive life experiences
- To work positively with other agencies, parents, carers, and other services to ensure person-centred care for person we support
- Develop and contribute to the maintenance of records and support plans and function as a Key worker when required
- To support our gentleman to maintain a clean-living environment appropriate to meet his individual needs
- To participate in regular and ongoing training relevant to everyone's needs
