Do you have a passion for people and care about helping others live fulfilling lives? If so, then we have a great opportunity as a Nightshift Support Worker within our Adult Supported Living Service in Lenzie!
Your new opportunity
Our Kirkintilloch Road service supports 4 people with learning disabilities in the Lenzie area. Our dedicated team of support adults with learning and physical disabilities, and acquired brain injuries, through providing direct physical assistance, emotional support, advice and encouragement in all areas of everyday living. This ranges from helping with housework to enjoying a full and active life through activities in the community.
Working pattern: We are looking for someone to support 3 men and 1 lady on waking nights. This is a permanent role offering 35 hours per week, waking nights (9pm - 8am). Where possible we will accommodate and offer flexibility; rotas are distributed at least 4 weeks in advance. There is a set rota week 1 Monday + Tuesday, week 2 Wednesday + Thursday + Friday.
Enhanced rate of £11.88 paid between midnight and 7am.
What you will need to bring to the role
- Strong self-awareness, resilience and excellent people skills
- Compassion and kindness to support people in their day to day lives.
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
- Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
- Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes.
- Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
- Good IT & communication skills.
- A full driving license is desirable.
- Experience or knowledge in the field of learning disabilities, however not essential.
