Support Worker – Upper Parkstone, Poole
Full-Time Position Available (37.5 hours)
£12.19 per hour
A gentleman who Dimensions support at his home in the Upper Parkstone area of Poole would like a new Support Worker to join the team who enables him to live an independent life.
The gentleman we support who is in his 40’s, and has learning disabilities and autism, would be happy meet a full-time Support Workerwho would like to get involved in the things he enjoys, including:
- Doing puzzles
- Playing with his sensory items
- Taking part in arts and crafts
- Spending time with his support team
- Regular visits to see his parents
- Visiting National Trust homes and sites
- Going on long walks
The gentleman we support would like you to know that he communicates by using words and also a sign language called Makaton. Don’t worry if you have not used Makaton, as Dimensions provide all Support Workerswith full training.
The gentleman needs to meet a Support Worker who is happy to work long day shifts (07.30-20.45) and can work every other weekend. Dimensions are pleased to offer a pay rate of £12.19 per hour for this role.
As the gentleman we support has access to a vehicle it is essential that Support Workershold a full UK/EU driving license OR are happy to sign up to our ‘learn to drive scheme’ and pass their test in a timeframe agreed with the home manager.
Support Workersmay also have to assist with finances, meal preparation and assist the gentleman we support with his personal care.
