Job Description –Support Workers/Carers
Location – Conwy Valley
Hours of Work: Variable shifts available
Tuesday 8-10 am
Mon – Friday evening shift hours flexible
Sat and Sunday hours available according to your availability
Hours available: from 2 up to 20 hours per week spread flexibly over the week, to be discussed at interview.
Casual hours role may also be available.
Additional hours can be discussed, and cover for other staff members while on holiday or sickness would be required.

Rate of pay: £15 per hour.

About the Role
We are looking to recruit either one or more Support Worker / Carers for a young woman who has a genetic condition causing Epilepsy and physical and learning disabilities. To help us cover the above days and times, we are open to one person doing all the hours or several people who wish to do just a few of the above, please put the hours you are interested in on your application.
We are looking for someone who is patient, caring and understanding with experience of supporting adults to carry out daily activities with the right amount of support.
Preferably we require someone who has experience of working with people who have complex care needs, although training and guidance will be given for the right candidate who may not have that experience.
We are located in Conwy, and the applicant must have their own transport to be able to get to the place of work due to the times of the shifts and location.
Duties:
Your role will be to help her to live a full and active life.
To support her with all aspects of daily life including feeding, dressing, cleanliness, and personal care.
Responding to her needs through one-to-one interaction, building up a rapport and having regular discussions with parents.
To encourage social interaction, and to introduce her to suitable new settings and activities as needed.
The successful applicant should hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. Should you be required to use your own vehicle for work purposes, you would be required to provide evidence of insurance for business cover. Mileage at an agreed rate will be paid to cover incurred costs.
