We are looking to appoint a Supported Accommodation Project Officer at Derwent Lodge.
Job Purpose
- Day to day management of the project’s budgets, including positive activities, cleaning, repairs and maintenance and equipment contracts. Ensure the fixtures and fittings are in a good state of repair ensuring replacement where needed. Review the policies and procedures as and when required and ensuring that the project is staffed 24 hours a day.
- Ensure the smooth running of the management and maintenance of the building in regular liaison with the Housing Specialist located off site
- Assist with the signing up of new residents when required.
- Report unreasonable/unacceptable behaviour to support workers.
- Work with other staff members from Derwent lodge and RDC to provide cover for annual leave, training and sickness on a regular basis.
- Supporting/Identifying/developing/project managing a range of projects which are consistent with Derwent Lodge
- To maintain the Housing records and databases for residents when arriving and departing and provide accurate details when requested to senior staff members.
- Keep records for each resident with rent account, licences and Housing Benefit payments where applicable and ensure the risk assessments carried out by support workers are kept in an accessible place
- Keep and maintain databases/spreadsheets to monitor rent accounts, petty cash and other hostel related budgets.
- To work with the Young Persons accommodation Pathway in ensuring their records are kept up to date.
- Provide all statistical returns in order to ensure compliance with North Yorkshire Council contractual liabilities.
- Provide support workers with individual rent account sheet weekly.
- Maintain caretaker list, which includes the following: IT system, door entry, door fobs, phone systems, water testing, working procedure, software, printers.
- Ensure the CCTV system is working correctly and where needed work with the police to provide copies and review the system.
- Commissioning reports, advice and plans relating to projects, and undertaking research, feasibility work and preparing business plans, as necessary.
