Job description

Are you passionate about Supporter Experience and making an impact to transform survival for pancreatic cancer?

Look no further, we are expanding our fantastic Engagement, Marketing, and Communications team and we are now seeking a Supporter Experience Manager to join us. This role is known internally as an Audience Journey Manager.

This role is fundamental to deepening engagement, increasing loyalty, and driving up income so we can better deliver our ambitious 5-year strategy to transform survival for pancreatic cancer. You will join us at an exciting time to improve primarily our supporter journeys but will also focus on audience experience across the charity, including our support services, fundraising, campaigns, and marketing activity.  You’ll be taking stock of our current journeys - working with a wide range of stakeholders to evaluate what is working well, where there are overlaps and pain points, and how we can make improvements. You will then continually champion the needs and expectations of our audiences in the development of new journeys and activities, working as part of other transformational programmes to deliver a first-class experience for our audiences.

You’ll also be providing clear and practical support to steer teams to work in a more audience-centered way and your approach will be based on data-led insights, making use of a suite of exciting new tools and audience analysis we have recently undertaken.

About you

  • Experience in mapping, developing, managing, and analysing a matrix of multi-channel journeys.
  • Experience in analysing various forms of audience insights to develop tangible actions for teams to apply to their activities
  • Experience in championing the audience voice and encouraging teams to shift to a more audience-centred way
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional project groups

If this sounds like you – we’d love to hear from you!

About working for Us

This is a fast-paced and growing organisation that is really committed to making a difference. Being a part of our team is being part of a thriving, positive, dynamic, successful, and welcoming community that is making an impact. We will support you and develop you should you wish this, and you get the opportunity to be involved in activities outside the scope of your immediate role. We care about your health and well-being and your work-life balance, and you will feel that your contribution is valued and matters.

About us

Pancreatic cancer is a tough one but we're taking it on. It is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, and tough to research. For too long this disease has been side-lined. We want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer. Underpinning this vision are our four values:

  • Pioneering
  • Compassion
  • Determined
  • Integrity

We cannot achieve our vision without employing people who are committed to our vision, strategy, and values.

At Pancreatic Cancer UK, our ambition is to create an inclusive working environment that reflects the communities and audiences that we engage with and where everyone can be their true selves, where they feel respected, championed, heard, and supported.  We want our workforce to achieve their potential, understand their contribution and feel proud of their impact by creating a culture and organisation that is genuinely inclusive by advancing equality, diversity, inclusion, and belonging through our policies and practices.

We believe diversity drives great outcomes by encouraging the different points of view that come from a diverse workforce. We want to hear from and engage with people whose experience of dealing with this disease may be very different depending on their individual circumstances and  background can think of no better way to do this than by ensuring that this role fully represents our intent therefore we are especially keen to consider applications from suitable applicants who consider themselves to be in areas that appear underrepresented within the charity sector.

How to apply

  • You can download the Job Description and Person Specification on our website for full details of the role. If you have any questions about this role that we’ve not answered, please get in touch with Sophie Reeve (contact details are on our website's advert).
  • To apply, please complete the online application form on our website, setting out why you are interested in the role and how you meet the person specification criteria. This information will be used to select candidates for interviews.
  • You will need to have the right to work in the UK as we are not able to provide sponsorship for this role.
  • Please note that interviews will be held remotely via Teams on 9 and 11 April.

No agencies/sales call please – as a charity we work hard to keep our costs down and therefore will not be engaging agencies to support this recruitment.
