What do we do?
Consultancy - We advise clients across our technology areas on a range of things, from strategic advice, reviewing portfolios of real estate assets, undertaking feasibilities and developing a business case.
Project and Programme Delivery - When a client has decided they wish to push forward with a project we look after everything associated with delivering that project apart from physically constructing it. So, working with the grid, planning, design, specification, running a construction tender and managing the project through the construction process. For many clients, we also provide Programme Management services, managing the delivery of multiple projects and workstreams.
Asset Management - We monitor and manage almost 200 constructed projects (Solar PV and EV charging infrastructure) to ensure they perform to expectations and the client has the financial reporting they need.
We’re looking for an ambitious, talented, Sustainability Consultant to join our project development team.
You will be responsible for driving renewable energy projects through the pre-construction phases including development of feasibility studies, business cases, management of grid applications with Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s), planning permissions and stakeholder engagement with building occupiers.
The Role:
- Taking responsibility for project development stages for projects ranging in value from £500k to £3m and supporting Senior Project Managers in the delivery of large and complex projects.
- To drive exceptional delivery, health & safety, commercial, risk management and quality performance on projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that project development activities are delivered in a timely manner
- Managing and overseeing the development of feasibility studies
- Managing Grid Applications to DNO’s
- Managing Planning Applications
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Overseeing third party suppliers on the behalf of clients, including structural surveyors, ground investigations, utilities surveyors and others as required.
- Monitoring and advising upon project finances
- Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
- Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
Requirements for the role:
- Working with renewables, construction, engineering or infrastructure projects
- Experience of developing and delivering complex reports i.e. feasibilities, business cases, research presentations or analysis reports
- Strong interest in renewable technologies
- Strong interest in renewable energy market and political landscape in the UK and Europe
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
