Sustainability Lead - Supply Chain, £60,000, Poole

As the Sustainability Lead, you’ll play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing the sustainability and environmental strategy for the business as they aim for Net Zero by 2035. As this family-owned business embarks on another stage of significant growth, you’ll be at the forefront of the mission to minimise the environmental impact by working with multiple departments to integrate safe, sustainable, and responsible practices.

The Sustainability Lead will work from the HQ five days a week, therefore must be within commutable distance to Poole.

As Sustainability Lead, you’ll take ownership of:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive environmental and sustainability strategy within the Supply Chain and the wider business.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to integrate environmental and sustainability considerations into the decision-making process.
  • Conducting a comprehensive assessment of the company’s Scope 3 emissions, identifying key sources, and developing strategies for reduction.
  • Preparing and publishing regular environmental and sustainability reports, disclosing key performance indicators and progress towards sustainability goals.
  • Developing and conducting training programs to increase employee awareness of environmental and sustainability principles and practices.
  • Creating a company-wide committee to facilitate engagement, thought, and input to the sustainability strategy.

The Sustainability Lead will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in environmental and sustainability management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of environmental and sustainability frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Understanding of ISO 14001 standards.
