Job description

As the Sustainability Manager, you will deliver a sustainability strategy which encompasses all areas of the business, which will achieve substantial improvements in reducing adverse environmental impact. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, and/or have relevant qualifications or QBE.

Main duties include:
• Lead the delivery of the organisation’s Environmental Sustainability strategy
• Adopt a proactive approach to improving the company's environmental performance by engaging with the Environmental Sustainability Board and other teams across the business
• Plan and coordinate the meetings and work plan of the Environmental Sustainability Board.
• Develop new ways of driving sustainability performance through the organisation and leading initiatives, including build skills and capability to contribute to delivering targets.
• Engage with wider communities in the development and delivery of environmental sustainability interventions as appropriate.
• Keep up to date with the sustainability agenda, new legislation and best practice guidelines in order to:
    o Ensure  the organisation has arrangements for meeting statutory and regulatory obligations for compliance and reporting of environmental sustainability.
    o Identify and bid for relevant funding sources to support investment in projects or support residents to reduce their environmental impact.
    o Develop effective partnerships and networks, participating in working groups and attending key events 
• Preparing reports and attending meetings with management to discuss sustainability performance.
