The team

The role
We are setting up an 18 month climate transition programme to take the next step on our climate action journey. We want to ensure that our net zero trajectory is embedded into our operations, governance and business strategy and that we are able to meet increasingly stringent reporting requirements. This programme will be managed by a dedicated project team, bringing together a mix of technical, sustainability and change management expertise.
The Sustainability Transformation Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the success of the programme by bringing programme management expertise, building the analytical tools to track our progress and working with the business to navigate the complex changes required across governance, ways of working and culture.
Given the fast-evolving nature of the sustainability field for businesses like ITV, we are looking for an ability to handle complexity and moving goalposts, to communicate clearly and influence a range of stakeholders, as well as the robustness to deliver on the programme's goals and report on its outcomes.
The role will help to deliver real impact in the transition to a sustainable society, through ITV's cultural reach and significant influence in the creative industries, in the UK and internationally.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure due governance of the programme through the Climate Action Delivery Group and Management Board, taking a lead on the management of the programme
• Delivering high quality communications appropriate to the audience, including presentations
• Support divisional leads in developing decarbonisation levers to meet ITV's emissions reduction trajectory
• Provide assistance for divisional leads to assess and redesign internal processes to embed climate requirements into business as usual
• Support the onboarding of a new environmental data platform, helping to embed it into the workflows of teams across the business
• Set up a framework for emissions reduction initiatives, which will continue beyond the 18 months of the transition programme, with the ability to track progress, carbon reduction and financial implications through a monitoring dashboard
• Support the delicate balance between an increasingly decentralised activity (with more responsibility embedded into the divisions) and the need to preserve consolidation and coherence at group level
• Help to build a culture of innovation across the transition programme

The minimum criteria to do this role:

• Previous experience in transformation and project planning for a consultancy and/or embedded within a business
• Programme management experience, proven project management expertise
• Change management experience

• Ability to manage a range of stakeholder relationships and support others to accomplish difficult goals
• Ability to translate strategy and vision into specific packages of work
• Ability to navigate complex and dynamic projects with flexibility
• Passion and basic knowledge for sustainability and how it relates to businesses
• Good understanding of organisational dynamics and an understanding of business processes, policies, tools and methodologies relevant to operational change
• Clear communication to a range of stakeholders, notably through presentations
• Excellent computer skills, particularly with spreadsheet and presentation packages
• Good report writing and editing skills, with demonstrable experience of this
• Knowledge and confidence in sustainability reporting frameworks, decarbonisation, and sustainable business transformation
• Experience of working in the TV industry or similar fields
