Job description
The Employer is: FOOTPRINTS WOMENS CENTRE. The post holder will ensure customer focused service within Footprints Sustainable Living side of the organisation. This will include working across various food and retail services within Footprints. The role requires someone with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to adapt as the role can involve working in a retail setting or helping the team in the social kitchen setting. Work will be undertaken across various sections of the operation. This role will include development of the following skills. Basic Food Hygiene Certification. Retail - till operations within Social Supermarket Setting. Food preparation and service. Collaboration - working with other services within the centre to promote and deliver activities. Writing skills - delivery of short reports to support social media updates and team meetings. First Aid at Work. Manual Handling..
Responsibilities
- To work as part of the Sustainable Living team within Footprints Women's Centre supporting the delivery the Sustainable Living strategy.
- To work with the team to deliver a series of activities that seek to deliver against key targets.
- To participate in activities related to healthy eating, growing projects and the promotion of Sustainable Living and the benefits of adoption of a green lifestyle.
- To ensure a good standard of hygiene in the building at all times and undertake all relevant training required for a food setting.
- To keep up to date records in line with Footprints Childcare Policy and Procedures ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- To participate in special seasonal or Centre projects i.e. trips; workshops etc.
- To liaise with the Sustainable Living manager and others within the team to support administration of projects and activities.
- To participate in staff development and training as and when required.
- To attend regular staff and team meetings.
- To undertake any other tasks and/or duties as may reasonably be requested by Senior Management.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good numeracy / literacy skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- An understanding and commitment to the value base and ethos of Footprints Womens Centre.
Further Information
The Employer is: FOOTPRINTS WOMENS CENTRE. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
