SPR are proud to be working with a public sector client to recruit for a temporary Swimming Instructor based in Wolverhampton on an AD-HOC basis.
The role of Swimming Instructor would include to provide instructional services for the commercial operation of all aquatics programmes across the business in accordance with the policies and objectives determined by the council.
Working Instructions:
Hours: AD-HOC
Pay Rate: £13.41 per hour
Location: Wolverhampton
Essential Requirements:
Enhanced DBS – (Children’s and Adult’s) – Update Service
ASA Level 2 Certificate
RLSS Rescue Test for Teachers qualification
First Aid at Work Certificate
STA Level 2/3 Award in Teaching Swimming Qualifications
Main Responsibilities of a Swimming Instructor:
To undertake the practical teaching of designated groups at the appropriate level and within agreed standard.
To ensure the class commences on time
To assist the Sports & Activities Manager and Swim Co-ordinator to programme courses to enable a natural progression towards recognised swimming awards.
To discharge all health and safety requirements and immediately report all issues of health and safety that may arise to the Duty Officer/Manager.
To provide an emergency capability and administer first aid as and when required.
To ensure that accidents are reported, and the appropriate documentation is completed
To give feedback on progress to class members and guardians
To deal with customer queries and complaints and refer to the Duty Officer/Manager or Sports & Activities Manager where necessary
Present a professional appearance and maintain an excellent standard of customer service
