Our client - a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Leicester - is seeking an experienced System Merchandiser.
We are looking for a team player, used to working in a fast-paced environment as well as be able to adapt to changing situations, be dynamic enthusiastic and have excellent Critical Path management experience. We are also looking for ERP system implementation experience for this person to be our merchandising functional systems expert.
About the ROLE:
. Analyse gross margins against expected margin daily for new contracts/ orders and analyse these to ensure that the sales and purchase documents are correct in the system.
. Escalate any issues to the relevant team to resolve any posting errors related to cost, qty or margin.
. Report weekly on any issues identified and resolution or timeline for resolution.
. Ensure training manuals are rectified as needed for user errors.
. Ensure working with finance team closely to ensure that documents are processed correctly in our financial ERP.
. Be a systems superuser and work with the Systems and Data team to maintain gross margin and escalate actual problems to the sales, merchandising or logistics team to ensure corrective action is taken as needed in a timely manner.
. This is a role that will require considerable attention to detail and analysing large amounts of data and reconciling packing lists to purchase and sales documents and also financial entries within our system so will suit someone numerically inclined who enjoys working with large data sets.
About You
. Previous experience working for a supplier within the merchandising team.
. Highly organised, proactive, and numerate with excellent IT skills, particularly Excel.
. Knowledge of working with factories overseas
. Strong CMT Knowledge essential
. Passionate, Dynamic and enthusiastic
. Be extremely organised.
. Be extremely diligent with excellent attention to detail.
. Work well as part of a team.
Essential experience
. 5-10 years' experience working in a fashion supplier clothing/ accessories or footwear environment.
. Confident on critical path management for wholesale/import own brand/make to order production in Far East/ Bangladesh/India.
. Confident on ERP (SAP or Business Central) for order processing / invoicing and customer and fty payment terms and processes
. Understand CPM having been responsible for critical path management from sales order to delivery.
. Understanding and experience raising fabric and label orders
. Experience liaising with offshore teams to ensure shipments are on time
. Understanding costing sheets templates and cost factors

. Appointment Type: Permanent
. Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (subject to experience)
. Hours: 8.30am - 5pm (Monday to Friday)
. Office Based
. Holiday 20 Days + Bank Holidays (rising to 25-days in line with service)
