The Opportunity

Salary: £33,945 to £36,648 per annum

Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week

Location: Based at County Hall, Chichester and hybrid working

Interview date: 26 and 27 February 2024

West Sussex County Council are seeking a Systems Configuration Specialist to support in delivering change for Adults and Childrens Services.

You will support either Mosaic or Synergy systems to design, build and support processes which make the roles of key Staff in Adults and Children's Services, Schools and providers easier. By doing so you will allow these critical areas of the business to function in a more efficient way.

IT Services have a structured career pathway, and you will be supported to develop skills and methodologies in configuration and ensuring data quality as well as IT Services processes and practices.

The job is demanding but with a good support structure to ensure that you integrate and become a part of this high performing team.

The role provides configuration support to enable day to day delivery of services that are critical to the wellbeing of West Sussex residents. It also uses a range of tools to create and automate customer interactions and journeys enabling them to support transformation and change projects by reconfiguring critical systems and building systems of engagement.

As part of this varied role, you'll be supporting (or responsible for):

  • Analysis and specification of requirements, report or system configuration development, appropriate testing or providing guidance & direct support to the business.
  • Developing skills and methodologies in configuration, as well as IT Services processes and practices.
  • Working closely with a range of stakeholders from across the organisation, and third-party suppliers, you'll use your excellent communication skills to help define, develop and support system application solutions that deliver business improvements and facilitate business change.
