Service Care Solutions are seeking an experienced Systems & Data Analyst to join a committed and supportive team at Solihull Metropolitan Council. This will initially be a 3 month contract with the potential of this becoming permanent.
You will be working within the Service's Business Support Unit to provide the service with intelligence, and analytical support to improve understanding of Solihull's Exploitation, Missing and Youth Justice Service needs and inequalities, working in collaboration with the Department for Education Ministry of Justice, Police, Community Safety and Analysts across Solihull Council and the wider partnership.

- Working between multiple locations: Elmwood Place, Smithswood and Bluebell centre however Hybrid working is also available.

Duties
- To provide intelligence, analytical reports for the service, other Council staff, the Violence Reduction Unit, Police and Crime Commissioner, Youth Justice Board and other partner agencies
- Support the development of systems to collect, analyse, interpret, and disseminate information.
- To support the development of statistical, and performance information systems drawing from wider children's services and youth justice case management systems.
- To organise, analyse and produce reports around the quality audit process - reporting through varying mediums to senior managers from relevant case management systems.
Person Specification
- Ability to demonstrate through extended data analysis experience and training, the necessary knowledge to carry out the full range of duties.
- Experience of working within a data role, carrying out statistical analysis and interpretation.
- Experience and knowledge of using relevant software systems and databases for effective data analysis (e.g. Excel, SQL Server Management Studio, R, Arc GIS). Experience and knowledge of analysing large data sets and using mathematical techniques to summarise and describe trends.
- Effective analytical skills to undertake specific statistical analysis on complex data to identify trends.
