Systems Engineer

Responsibilities of the Lead Engineer include:

• Defining the rulesets for releasing AAD software across different test assets and manufacturing builds as per the business requirements.
• Deployment and management of the AAD software release process across all active programmes to meet all programme and build milestones.
• Implementation and adherence of standards and procedures (eg: UNECE156, AAD engineering sign-off process) across the entire lifecycle in the areas of software integration and release for AAD systems.
• Ensures efficient delivery of software releases are achieved by leading and co-ordinating the different aspects needed for detailed engineering sign-off process.
• Deliver software application and calibration build releases. Managing the release of engineering and production of releases builds with supporting documentation.
• Contributes towards developing a robust software engineering delivery process taking into account all the end-to-end process elements required to effectively release a software in a safe manner.

Experience required for the role:

• Significant experience of working in a technical automotive electrical or software engineering environment or software delivery role.
• Strong knowledge of product development cycle from concept to launch (V Cycle) with a focus on software deployment and release.
• Detailed understanding of automotive software quality tools and processes.
• Knowledge of automotive development systems e.g. releasing, concerns, containments, gateways, and engineering sign off documentation.
• Good knowledge of system engineering process and its use in the design and delivery process.
• Relevant experience in the integration and delivery of complex distributed safety critical systems.
• Knowledge of automotive networks and architectures (CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet) and software release processes.
• Experience in automotive engineering delivery and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach.
• Previous experience of releasing ASPICE compliant software.
• Understanding of Functional Safety.
• Good understanding of Driver Assistance Systems or associated technology.
