SalarySystems Engineer - Coventry - Up to £40,000 plus benefits - Permanent
A Systems Engineer opportunity has become available for one of the world's leading technology companies for development, simulation and testing in the automotive industry.
You will be responsible for developing, validating, and signing off the future generation of various vehicle systems and features.
In your first few weeks in this Systems Engineer role, you can expect to:
- Support vehicle control system related hardware and software requirements development.
- Engage with suppliers and other stake holders to review hardware and software attributes.
- Participate in quality and robustness activities (i.e. FMEA, fault tree analysis, boundary diagram).
- Support the development of the Electrical and Electronic architectures.
- Validate and sign-off of vehicle system and interactions with other subsystems.
- Debug and troubleshoot new software and calibration deliveries.
To apply for this Systems Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
- Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or similar.
- Automotive engineering knowledge and experience in design, validation and integration for vehicle powertrain systems
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric components fundamentals
- Relevant engineering experience (ideally Systems Engineering)
- Ability to comprehensively understand customer requirements and follow product development processes
- A working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication and components.
