New opportunity available for an Air Safety Consultant to join an industry leading Aerospace and Defence company offering impartial and objective counsel in Military Aviation Certification, Airworthiness, and Safety Management.
- Hybrid role - 2 to 3 days a week in Bristol
- Also available to be based in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow or Aldershot
- £40,000 to £65,000

What will the Air System Safety Engineer be doing?
We are looking for senior consultants with a strong background in the Defence market to offer expertise and direction in the development of aviation certification, airworthiness, and safety management solutions for our clients. An ideal candidate should have knowledge in Safety Critical Systems Engineering, considering both organizational and physical systems to ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment from unnecessary harm.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring project teams' work meets assurance standards
- Providing insights into future needs to enhance capabilities
- Delivering safety, airworthiness, technical evaluation, and certification artefacts
- Taking on leadership roles in major safety management assignments for clients
- Collaborating with clients to execute aviation and other safety-related projects
We need the Air System Safety Engineerto have the following…
- Understanding and application of the following: MAA Regulatory Publications, Military Air System Certification Process, Defence Standard 00-970, Military aviation hazard/accident management
- A proven track record in developing Safety Management solutions at various levels (enterprise, platform, or system).
- Experience generating Safety Assessment Reports, developing proposals, and providing technical assurance.
- Experience creating innovative Safety Management solutions to support operations and fostering sustainable client relationships while identifying future business opportunities.
- An Understanding of at least one of the following tools: ASPIRE, Air System Loss Models, BowTies, GSN/CAE, and HERMES
