The Opportunity
Salary: £27,334 to £29,777 per annum
Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week
Location: Hybrid Working - County Hall, Chichester and working from home

The IT Product Team is part of the Council's IT&D Service function. It provides support and systems configuration for several lines of business systems that enable and support the day-to-day delivery of services that are critical for many residents in West Sussex. These include systems associated with social care, fire and rescue, and education.
This is a key role in the team, as our System Support Analyst, you will provide system support for several key IT systems within West Sussex County Council. You will be able to demonstrate skills in, and an understanding of, systems issue analysis, business process and application support.
- You will be providing first line support for incidents and helping with business system requests.
- You will take the lead in resolving calls and work with 2nd and 3rd line support to solve issues.
- You will be responsible for managing access and restrictions for supported systems and updating data from different sources.
- You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including managers and end-users, to tackle technical issues in a way that non-technical individuals can understand.
What are we looking for?
This is a fast-moving team, and you will need a structured approach to work, with the ability to be flexible and a desire to succeed. You will be agile in managing priorities, working with a range of customers and themes, juggling demand and support to best effect.
You will work with a variety of information systems, so need to be comfortable with information technology. You will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and achieving good outcomes for our customers. You will receive a structured training programme to enable you to be effective quickly.
