About the Team

We are a team of highly skilled system specialists providing support for Liquidlogic (Surrey's recording system). We support all system users, from social workers to practitioners, managers to business support and more, all within the Children's and Education Directorates. We work to resolve staff system issues in real time, offering technical advice and extensive guidance to enable staff to have the confidence to support themselves going forward.

Our role enables staff to record Surrey's vulnerable families' journeys and follow extensive statutory frameworks. Our staff need specialist support quickly and expect us to be efficient, knowledgeable, and fast in the service we deliver to them.

About the Role

This key role is time sensitive and requires high levels of relationship building and customer service as you will be required to provide a first-class customer support to staff, guiding them through process issues and offering technical advice to help them help themselves. Therefore, we are looking for an extremely motivated individual, able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will also support management in project work and planning of day-to-day tasks where necessary.

You will ensure good practice is maintained within the recording systems Surrey uses and encourage the use of 'self-serve' tools which the team have established and continually expand. You will play a vital role in the improvement journey for staff within the Children's and Education Directorates.

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills, adapting styles to different situations
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft and experience using case management systems, particularly Liquidlogic
  • Experience and understanding of supporting service teams and/or providing support to the public
  • High level administrative, organisational, and analytical skills with the ability to manage a range of projects through to completion
  • An understanding of the need for confidentiality
