The Talent Acquisition Advisor is responsible for contributing to the smooth planning and delivery of a first-class recruitment operation across the entire portfolio of IMG Events including, but not limited to Taste of London, Hampton Court Palace Festival, Battersea Chimney Lift, Glide Ice Rink, Windsor Light Trail, Greenwich Summer Sounds and Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.  The role will focus on the end-to-end recruitment, contracting and deployment cycle of contingent event staff, whilst striving for continuous improvement in processes and practices to enhance the candidate experience and increase the calibre of available resource.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Execution of large-scale recruitment campaigns ensuring that all candidates are recruited to a consistent standard within defined financial parameters.
  • End-to-end involvement in the full recruitment life cycle from approvals, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, through to contract and payroll processing.
  • Build and develop a network of alternative and diverse recruitment channels to reduce reliance on agencies and current outsourcing arrangements and reduce event staffing costs.
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of systems and processes as required to increase administrative efficiency, build up a database of contingent event staff and improve the candidate journey and communication to better reflect the IMG Arts & Entertainment brand.
  • Assist the Senior Manager, Recruiting to deliver best practice and drive change across the spectrum of contingent staffing operations, to include attraction methods, application processes, staff wellbeing, engagement and reward and recognition.
  • Liaise with other IMG corporate functions and work closely with legal and HR on matters such as engagement methods, contract writing, pay rates and IR35 status agreement.
  • Attend and contribute to event planning meetings as necessary to ensure that people the A&E recruitment function becomes an integrated part of the process.
  • Support and participate in assessment centres as required.
  • Respond to general queries from the contingent workforce in relation to recruitment and payroll processing.
  • Liaison with the temporary payroll function for HPWW, including the configuration and roll out of the Resource Management tool Deputy.
  • Management of payroll function for other events through Fieldglass or other nominated systems.
  • For HCPF and Greenwich Summer Sounds, contribute to the preparation of staffing rotas.
  • Analysis of post event people related learnings and implementation of a continuous improvement plan.   
  • Contribute to candidate retention and engagement strategies to increase the percentage of returning staff and generate commitment and loyalty from a contingent workforce.
  • Champion partnerships with event management education providers to build a stable influx of future talent. 
  • Contribute to succession planning for key positions on large scale events to reduce organisational risk and build a sustainable pipeline of talent.
  • Vendor management and set up in line with IMG requirements.
  • To contribute to strategies to increase diversity and inclusion within the contingent workforce

Requirements

  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work well with multiple stakeholders and leaders and influence across different event teams
  • Passionate about the employee experience within an events environment
  • Tact, diplomacy and integrity when dealing with sensitive ER issues
  • Strong understanding of UK employment legislation

Education and Experience

  • Experience of planning and execution of mass recruitment campaigns within the events, hospitality or retail sectors
  • Experience of end to end recruitment processes
