About the right team member

The Talent Development Specialist works with cross-functional partners to design, produce, and deliver Talent Development programs for Mindbody's global workforce. This includes, but is not limited to, producing printed or online materials, videos, communications, evaluations, and other program documentation as required. This role delivers training classes, workshops, and other events in person and through the use of technology. This role consults with other departments to evaluate offerings, ensure programs meet stated objectives, and deliver effective content and presentations.

About the role

  • Leads and facilitates high-quality events via in person and virtual delivery for all levels of leadership in the organization.
  • Assists with the strategic design of Talent Development programming, including large scale learning interventions, curriculum design, activities, courses, and program components.
  • Designs change management efforts and communication strategies to ensure adoption of talent programs.
  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and design appropriate solutions for desired learning or behavioral outcomes.
  • Continually evolves talent programs as business needs and strategies evolve.
  • Proactively identifies and applies techniques to optimize the learning experience.
  • Creates and maintains courseware for instructor led and web-based training courses.
  • Develops program materials and resources, such as activity demonstration materials, job aids,visual aids and graphics, videos, communications, and other supporting materials.
  • Leads project management and planning for talent management and development activities.
  • Prioritizes deliverables effectively while balancing multiple ongoing projects.
  • Executes all operational activities associated with program activities.
  • Facilitates dialogue with individuals and/or groups toward intended learning, performance, behavioral or other outcomes.
  • Serve as a coach or mentor to team members in a variety of roles; Provides performance feedback to the individuals or their direct supervisor, as appropriate.
  • Help individuals identify goals, develop action plans, seek development opportunities, and monitor progress and accountability.
  • Assist with program budget planning, expense tracking, reporting, generating, and tracking purchase orders.
  • Develop and deploy reports on metrics for key stakeholders.
  • Design, measure and analyze metrics and evaluation data to ensure program efficacy and make program adjustments where necessary.
  • Manage sensitive and/or confidential data appropriately.

Skills & experience

  • 2-4 years' experience delivering soft-skills, management, and/or leadership training.
  • Related training certification preferred.
  • Prior experience working within the software industry is preferred.
  • Highly skilled in managing large scale projects and initiatives across multiple lines of business.
  • Practical application of Adult Learning Theory and learning evaluation metrics
  • Must have an excellent work ethic, be a strong team player and consistently meet project deadlines.
  • Possesses a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Result-driven mentality and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills.
  • High-quality visual and graphic design skills.
  • Demonstrates awareness of cultural differences in the workplace and integrates diversity and inclusion principles in strategies and initiatives.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience developing and delivering training in an asynchronous online, synchronous online, or hybrid environment; experience in using Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise 360, etc.)
