Job description

We are exclusively supporting a key customer in attracting a Talent & Learning Manager to strategise and deliver across the Talent & Learning landscape for the Europe business unit. This is a new appointment.

Client Details

Our customer is a well-known international manufacturing organisation. They are committed to inclusion, innovation, quality, and sustainability.

They have recently invested in a new Talent & Learning CoE to deliver a best-in-class career experience, to continue in investing in their people.

Description

Reporting into the Global Head of Talent & Learning, this inaugural Talent & Learning Manager (for Europe) will be aligned with strategising, developing and delivering a best-in-class career experience.

As well as leading on BAU partnering and cyclical talent landmarks, you will lead and support on wider projects;

  • Greenfield learning landscape: with the wider team, build and develop a strategically and commercially aligned Talent & Learning foundation and offering - including new competency, performance management, succession planning frameworks etc. Thew new landscape of learning will be a blended approach across all functions, away from a 'traditional training' platform
  • Culture: develop and challenge a new way of working that is aligned to a performance-wellbeing culture
  • Management & leadership development: develop and deliver a new programme to develop the leader of the future, aligned to a new culture, systems, and processes
  • Technology: design, develop and enhance a new LMS
  • Data & analysis: use data to inform commercial decisions and change, as well as understanding real time human capital data, such as hours of investment in learning etc.
  • Employer brand: support the development of a global and regional employer brand as part of the overall EVP

It will be important to understand the regional nuance across countries, and utilise what is already working, evolve what needs to change, and innovate on what isn't already in place - with a lens to continuous improvement across the entire spectrum.

Technical and H&S training is not part of the brief.

Your base will be the head office, in the Warrington area (for 1-2 days per week), with quarterly travel to other countries, when needed.

Profile

The chosen candidates will have proven experience within an international and matrix environment, within a fast-paced, high change environment.

You will need to have experience across the entire L&OD spectrum. You will have experience of higher-level L&OD strategy, as well as an ability to still deliver training programmes when needed.

Essential experience of being able to use data to;

  • inform the current landscape and change required
  • decipher tangible and intangible RoI

You will also have exposure to international projects / customer groups - ideally in mainland Europe.

Experience within manufacturing isn't essential, however it is desirable.

Your base will be the head office, in the Warrington area (for 1-2 days per week), with quarterly travel to other countries, when needed.

Job Offer

This role is paying £60,000 to £70,000 (possibly more dependent on experience), plus a performance related bonus and a suite of benefits.
