Tax AccountantPermanentBased in Falmer, Brighton (hybrid 2 days in the office and flexible working hours)£37,000 - £44,200 per annum, plus generous pension, flexible working, study support and further benefitsRef: TA2646 Tony Alan Recruitment currently has a rare job opportunity for a Tax Accountant to join a long standing and well-known business in the Falmer area on a permanent basis. Your duties will include: Provide expert advice and insight on, and ensure compliance with, UK Corporation Tax, VAT and overseas sales taxes Manage preparation of quarterly group VAT return Prepare annual Partial Exemption Special Method and Capital Goods Scheme adjustment calculations Monitor and reply to VAT and Corporation tax queries Calculate taxable profits, deferred tax entries and corporation tax liabilities Manage group tax losses, and deeds of covenant in subsidiary companies, planning ahead where necessary Work with the Tax Manager to register for Global Sales Taxes (GST) in overseas tax jurisdictions using a risk-based strategy, ensure that returns are filed and liabilities paid in a timely manner Responsibility for ensuring that in-house statutory records for subsidiary companies are maintained and submitted to Companies House within statutory deadlines Work with the tax manager to implement software to manage and file statutory records Key requirements: Excellent working knowledge of VAT and its application in the UK Good working knowledge of UK Corporation tax Part qualified or qualified by experience If you feel that you would be suitable for this position then please apply with your CV.
