Lancing, 37.5 hours per week, £26,000 £32,000 per annum Company profile This R&D tax specialist firm has been established for 5 years and is looking to grow their team to help deal with the increase in new business following recent legislative changes made by HMRC. Our client works with over 600 customers across a variety of sectors. They are a small but ambitious team looking for a self-starter to help continue the growth of the business. Role The primary focus of the role will be to manage and deliver a client portfolio. As a case worker the day-to day tasks that you will be required to complete can include: Interaction with clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of the projects undertaken and identify how aspects of these projects meet the eligible R&D criteria through directing technical meetings Drafting clear technical narrative to support R&D tax relief claims Preparation of financial calculations to support R&D tax relief claims Develop financial knowledge and expertise to better support R&D tax specific advice to clients Provide an exceptional client management service to enhance the wider network of the company This is a hybrid role with any successful candidates required to work at least 3 days per week in the office. During the training period, you may be required to attend the office more frequently. Essential skills: A collaborator with excellent communication skills A positive individual with a can do attitude and good critical thinking skills A trustworthy individual with good listening skills An organised and time efficient individual with the ability to deal with deadline pressures High attention to detail Proficient at note taking Good English and Math skills MS Office proficiency Desirable skills: ATT or AAT qualified Experience in a financial controller, management accountant or bookkeeping role Previous experience of working in team based and consultancy environment Previous experience of working in a finance or accounting team Previous experience of managing workload autonomously as well as working within a team Previous experience of working with Monday.com The ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge Experience working in a small team/startup If no direct finance/accounting experience Maths higher level of education would be considered Remuneration £26,000 £32,000 dependent on experience as well as discretionary bonus, 25 days holiday.
