Tax Senior - Accountancy Practice
Location: Banbury - Hybrid

The Client:A forward-thinking, multi-site, accountancy practice, offering a hybrid working environment and a commitment to professional development. As part of their expanding Tax and Wealth Planning Team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of personal tax clients and contribute to the overall development of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare personal tax returns, advise on tax payable, and meet deadlines.
- Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on compliance matters.
- Review tax returns prepared by junior team members.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and additional services for clients.
- Assist and train junior team members with accounts and tax matters.
- Generate and refer leads to the Wealth Planning department.
- Provide tax assistance to other departments within the Firm.
- Contribute to the overall management and development of the Tax Team.
Critical Skills Required:
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office products.
- Effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent problem-resolution skills and ideas generation ability.
- Strong technical ability and accuracy with advice and recording.
Critical Knowledge Required:
- In-depth knowledge of personal and business taxes.
- Familiarity with capital taxes, including capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
- Proficient in taxation software and interaction with HMRC online services.
Qualifications Required:
- Essential: Degree, ATT, or equivalent experience.
- Desirable: CTA or equivalent tax qualification through experience.
- Essential: Minimum of 3 years proven tax experience within a practice environment.
