We are delighted to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of English to join our friendly and dedicated team on a full time, permanent basis from September 2024 or sooner. A TLR is available with this position for suitable candidates.
You will be joining an already successful team, teaching English to pupils across KS3 to KS5. We offer both Language and Literature, and Literature at A Level. This year, the English Department achieved a Progress score of 0.86 which we are extremely proud of, and we are looking for a Teacher of English whose passion and excellent subject knowledge can further develop the achievement of our students. Fundamentally, you will encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve the best of their ability and encourage a love of English! In the English department, we take every opportunity to support each other, and we have a well-planned and heavily resourced curriculum to share best practice. We promote a love of reading and work closely with our librarian, participating in Harry Potter Book Days and World book days – anything to share our love of reading with the students.
