'This school is a truly special place. Pupils flourish here' Ofsted March 2022.
Do you love your subject? Do you want to work in classrooms where you can take risks in how you teach in order to develop your craft? If the answer is yes, then Lawrence Sheriff may well be the place for you!
Lawrence Sheriff School is an outstanding boys’ grammar school of approximately 1140 students, around 425 of whom are in our coeducational sixth form. As a National Teaching School, we have played a significant role in initial teacher training and continuous professional development across the region. Our Teaching School Hub status also enables us to offer all staff varied and interesting opportunities to enhance their practice. We have recently been designated as one of only fifteen national MFL Hubs.
Due to the expansion of the school, we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of History and Religious Studies. The successful candidate will join two highly motivated and successful departments.
Whether an ECT or more experienced, the successful individual will be an inspirational and innovative teacher who wishes to make use of a fantastic opportunity to further their career within an outstanding school. You will be expected to teach History across all key stages throughout the school, Religious Studies in years 7 to 9 and an interest in teaching Classical Civilisation would be an advantage.
