Start Date: 1 September 2024
We are looking to recruit a Teacher of Science who shares our vision and ambitions for the young people of this community.
Tibshelf Community School is a successful, oversubscribed 11-16 school with 817 students on roll. It is situated close to Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District National Park and has good transport links, being close to the M1.
The Science Faculty has an established track record at GCSE, and we now want to build on this solid foundation and move forward to provide even greater experiences for our pupils.
The post provides a great opportunity for a talented Teacher of Science to advance their own career and professional development by joining a successful, cohesive team in a forward-looking school, recently judged Good by OFSTED, at an exciting time in its development. Applications are welcome from experienced and Early Career Teachers able to teach science throughout the ability range at KS3 and KS4.
If you are interested in applying for the post, you are strongly encouraged to come to Tibshelf Community School to have a look around and informally meet staff and pupils. Please contact Mrs Tracey Johnston-Shaw t.johnston-shaw@tibshelf.derbyshire.sch.uk to arrange a visit.
We hope that what we are aspiring to do here will enthuse and excite you too.
We look forward to meeting you.
Provisional Interview Date: Week commencing 4 March 2024.
