Teaching Assistant with responsibility for Early Reading and Fast Track interventions
2 year fixed term contract until 31st August 2026. Term-time only.
Contractual hours; 9-3pm. Monday to Friday – 27.5 hours
Salary; Band C £24,702-£27,334 pro rata

The Governing Body are looking to appoint a highly effective and inspirational Teaching and Learning Assistant, who has a passion for teaching with particular experience of supporting children in Key Stage 1. You will join our highly talented, supportive and friendly team at Dickens Heath School to support our children in whole class, small group and individual work across the key stage.
Candidates need to hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification
We are looking for someone who is;
• An excellent practitioner with high expectations of all children
• Proven track record of effectively delivering Read, Write Inc or similar as an early phonics programme
• A passion for teaching children to read
• Experienced with the delivery of intervention to ensure that children keep up and catch up
• An excellent practitioner with high expectations and experience of working in a Primary School
• Committed, enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team
• Friendly, approachable and flexible
• Organised and has good interpersonal and communication skills
