An Additional Needs Provision in North Cardiff is looking for a new Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis starting in March 2024.
The base is a specialist provision, supporting pupils aged 11-18 with a range of needs associated with Autism. They are looking for a supportive Teaching Assistant to work with several KS3 pupils who split their time between the base and the mainstream school. The ideal candidate would be someone patient, kind, and with a calm nature who is able to assist the learners in regulating their behaviour and emotions during their school day, ensuring that their school experience is positive and enjoyable.
** The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to take on this role in a long-term capacity, with the option to take on a permanent contract upon completion of a successful trial period. **
Role starting 4th March 2024 (or earlier if possible)
Full Time, Mon – Fri
Pay from £385/week.
Based in North Cardiff
Requirements:
- Degree Level Education, or equivalent, preferred.
- Enhanced Child Only DBS
- Update Service
- EWC Registration
- Interest in, or experience, working with additional needs (in any setting)
** Full support will be provided with obtaining these requirements if necessary, and no prior school experience is needed **

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
