Veritas Education are working with a supportive and high achieving secondary school in Hackney, East London who are looking for a high calibre Teaching Assistant to join as soon as possible. To work as a Teaching Assistant with us, we ask that you have experience with secondary aged children (formally or informally), have an honours degree (minimum lower second) and most importantly a desire to help and support secondary aged children in a school setting
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant
- Working with children aged 11-16 operating classes in various subjects
- Helping children with special educational needs
- Engaging with students for 4-5 periods
- Treating children with respect and kindness as a Teaching Assistant
Job Requirements to be a Teaching Assistant:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- An honours degree (preferably Upper Second) or equivalent
- Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN)
- Experience working in childcare, informally or formally
- Right to work in the UK
