Secondary Teaching Assistant – Birmingham

Are you an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge?

I am currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant in based in Dudley including areas such as Sandwell, Sedgley, Tipton, Brierley Hill and Rowley Regis to work in a secondary school.

This role is DAY-TO-DAY / SHORT TERM / LONG TERM.

Job Description

• Supervision of students on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Provide additional learning support as identified
• Engage, motivate and encourage students to complete work set
• Make sure all students are focused and on track to meet their lesson objectives
• Support the class teacher to manage classroom behaviour
• Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on student’s progress and development

Requirements

• Previous Teaching Assistant experience
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children
• Up to date Safeguarding Training (You can undertake a free course with Ueducate if you have not got a safeguarding certificate dated within the last 12 months)
