Teaching Assistant

Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant, Full-time

Location: Primary School in Barnsley

If so, Tradewind Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dedicated team as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant at a primary school in Barnsley.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to a pupil with complex behavioural needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualised learning plans.
• Assist in the development and implementation of behavioural strategies.
• Foster positive relationships with the pupil, promoting social and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with pupils with behavioural needs and SEMH.
• Understanding of effective behaviour management strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position, 5 days a week Monday to Friday

Location:

• Based at a welcoming primary school in Barnsley.
