Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join TimePlan to work in a school located in Bournemouth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students, both inside and outside the classroom, to facilitate their learning and development.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons, activities, and learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student growth and achievement.
- Help to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions among students.
- Support students with special educational needs or additional learning needs, implementing individual education plans as necessary.
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as appropriate.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to classroom management and student records.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and young people.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond effectively to the diverse needs of students and changing priorities in the classroom.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare and safety of children.
