Overview of role:
At Brookhurst Primary School we are looking for enthusiastic, caring and cooperative addition to our Teaching Assistant Team (TA2). At Brookhurst Primary School our mission is to instil a lifelong love of learning, resilience, respect and sense of emotional safety in all the children in our care. We are looking for someone with a willingness to learn to come and join our amazing and dedicated team.
The hours of work will be 35 hours per week, 8.30am – 4pm Monday - Friday term time (including INSET days) with a half an hour lunch break. At lunchtime you would then join our team of lunchtime supervisors to assist in the supervision of the children within the dining hall or on the playground.

- Wage: £6.40 per hour

Apprenticeship details:
- Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard
- Duration of course: 16 months
- Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated in top 10 of UK providers)
- All learning delivered online/ remotely alongside role.
Full Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils learning, either in groups or through 1:1 work
- Supporting pupils self-esteem, inclusion and behavioural development
- Provide learning support to children with significant care needs
- Encourage and promote inclusion in the classroom, ensuring all pupils feel involved with tasks and activities
- Undertake support activities for the teacher as required, e.g., photocopying, preparation of materials, mounting displays
- Assist in maintaining class records and contribute to reports on pupil progress and development as directed
- Assist in facilitating school events, e.g., school plays, events
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and parents or carers
