We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 3 SEN to join an outstanding school and college dedicated to supporting young people with special educational needs.
You will be helping students develop transferable employability and life skills through work experience placements and learning activities, both onsite and in the community. You will work closely with a passionate team and a network of local employers to ensure students achieve their full potential. Driving license essential for the role as the successful applicant will be transporting and supporting students to external work placements.
This is a Grade 5 permanent post, working 35 hours per week term time only plus 10 days, a total of 40 weeks per year. The starting pro rata salary is £23,707 and the full time equivalent is £26,873.
Main purpose of the job:
To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for delivering agreed learning activities to identified groups of students. The post holder will provide support to curriculum development in specialized areas.
The successful applicant must be able to work effectively with the whole school community including pupils, parents, governors, and staff.
Key Relationships:
The main contacts of the job are: Curriculum Leader, SLT Line manager, SLT at the school, teaching staff, other support staff, students, parents, and external support services.
