Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in one of our primary schools located in West Leeds. The successful candidate will assist the classroom teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lesson plans and curriculum
- Help individual students or small groups with academic tasks
- Supervise students during independent work and activities
- Support students with special needs or disabilities
- Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities
- Additional duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of child development and learning theories
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students
