Teaching Assistant - Secondary

Hays have been approached by a High School in the Wigan area that we have worked with for a number of years, who are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. This school is looking for an individual who holds either Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, to work 5 days a week and provide consistent support for pupils who need the extra help. If you don't hold these qualifications but have experience working with children in the last 2 years within an educational setting, please get in touch as we may have other roles that are suitable for you.
Your new role
In this job as Teaching Assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils. This could either be working as a general classroom support or working on a 1:1 basis with pupils across KS3 and KS4. By being a Teaching Assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff. There is currently a high demand for Teaching Assistants in the Wigan area, so please get in touch if you would like to know more or discuss the roles available.
What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children. The school are also willing to consider individuals from other different roles working with young adults, for example, support worker roles. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role.
