Overview
The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant. The role will be for a minimum of 27 hours a week and may also include lunch duties. The role is varied and will involve working with a child in a one to one situation as well as within small groups.

Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: R1B6-10 per annum pro rata depending on experience
Contract type: Fixed Term
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:50am to 3:20pm

About the role
1 a) DUTIES
- Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, SENCO and class teachers
- Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, first-aid and welfare matters
- Prepare classrooms and clear afterwards and assist with the display of pupils' work
- Provide clerical/admin support, e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, collecting money, record keeping
- Assist with the planning and delivery of learning activities
- Accompany teachers and pupils on out-of-school activities and take responsibility for a group, under the direction of a teacher
- Undertake playground duties

1 c) HEALTH AND SAFETY
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection; and report all concerns to an appropriate person.
1 d) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The jobholder is required to contribute to and support the overall aims and ethos of the school.
All staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities, and in performance management and development, as required by the school's policies and practice.
Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance.
The duties described above may vary from time to time without changing their general character or the levels of responsibility entailed and are intended to provide a broad indication of what is included in the job. Different emphases may be given to different aspects according to the requirements of the school and, in particular, the age of the pupils.
