Our client, a fantastic Legal 500 law firm based in Reading, is seeking a dedicated and organised Team Assistant to join their commercial departments on a permanent basis.
Your New Role
Responsibilities will include;
- filing, photocopying, scanning, sorting incoming and outgoing post/DX, and other document management tasks;
- managing the compliance duties and procedures required to set up new clients and files;
- assisting with document production - producing/amending, proof-reading and printing letters, contracts, court documents, forms, etc. and collating enclosures, etc.;
- taking telephone messages and liaising with clients and others on straightforward issues;
- assisting with billing and other accounting processes and file archiving;
- assisting with marketing and event administration (mailshots, invitations to events, feedback collation, etc)
About You
The ideal Team Assistant will have;
- exceptional organisational skills and efficiency;
- strong communication skills;
- a high level of accuracy/attention to detail;
- excellent written English skills (including a strong knowledge of grammar and punctuation);
- strong IT skills, particularly of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel with good typing skills;
- a professional attitude towards work.
From time to time, you would be able to get involved in other activities and projects within the team/firm. There may also be opportunities for greater involvement in legal work in due course if the successful candidate has longer-term aspirations for a career in law.
