Job description
To assist, organise, control and actively participate in the provision and development of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) service in the WHSCT (Altnagelvin Site). The post holder must ensure that a high quality, efficient and effective service is available at all times. The post holder will work closely with radiography, radiology and other key stakeholders to deliver a patient focused service in an environment of professional excellence. Excellent clinical skills in MRI, leadership, communication, presentation, training and team skills will be important in this post. In line with the Clinical Governance framework they will seek to continually improve service safety and quality. The post holder will have a role as both supervisor and supervisee in line with the Regional Allied Health professions Supervision Policy. In addition the post holder will coordinate Supervision for MRI team ensuring targets are met. WHSCT MRI Service operates an extended 7 day service across all sites. An essential part of this post will include participation in the Department Rota associated with this. Participation in the General On Call requirements are subject to the operational needs of local departments..

5 years post graduate experience to include 3 years experience in MRI at Band 6 Level and BSc (Hons) Diagnostic in Radiography or DCR(R) or equivalent.Health & Care Professional Council (HCPC) Registration (or be eligible to apply). , Previous experience in Management Role.Additional Relevant Post graduate qualification.
