We have an exciting opportunity within our highly successful and well established engineering client. They are currently seeking a proactive and driven Team leader to join their busy teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Assembly Operators. The role will involve ensuring that all processes and activities are carried out to the expected and targeted level. This will involve working in close cooperation with other related parts of the business, liaising with colleagues, and reporting of KPIs.

The role:
* Leading the team, coordinating their workloads, and providing support
* Adhering to environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
* Ordering of parts, materials, tools etc.
* Continuous Improvement, Lean System work processes and working to targets
* Strong focus on quality of end product
* Reconciling product, product documentation and produce to meet customer need.
* Ensuring stocks in your area of responsibility are accurate, through cycle counting and correct recording of stock movements
* Spending time 'on the floor' to monitor, coach, and evaluate the performance of the team
* Implementation and ownership of KPI/ metrics to ensure targets met
Suitable candidates have:
* Previous supervisory and Team Leader skills, along with the ability to motivate and develop others
* A good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of poor quality is key
* You are motivated by driving continuous improvement
* Be willing to take on challenges of a busy production department
* Possess drive and enthusiasm to help meet monthly production targets
* Demonstrate a practical knowledge of Mechanical assembly
* Demonstrate PC skills
* Demonstrate a practical understanding of Hydraulic assembly processes
* Be able to work with others including engineers and project teams to identify and solve problems/faults and improve processes
