- As the Environmental Health Manager (Food & Health and Safety), the post holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of the business objectives of the designated team, which will include a contribution toward the delivery of national statutory requirements and local targets.
- These duties will include any and all relevant requirements in relation to national or local emergencies such as the COVID pandemic. This includes the potential managing and directing staff of various different disciplines for projects and other work and will include the mastery of novel legislation at speed.
- The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of team performance and will be expected to manage individual performance in conjunction with the Regulatory Services Manager (RSM) .
- The Post holder will be expected to manage the staff within their team. This will include managing all aspects of staff absence; sickness, leave etc.
- The post holder will be responsible for the individual supervision of team members through normal corporate practices such as ‘Check Ins’ following corporate guidelines.
Requirements
- To be the Lead Officer for food control as defined by the Food Law Code of Practice.
- Experience of providing comprehensive advice to a variety of types of
- Experience of advising business, consumers and other service users of the criminal and civil law relating to Environmental Health
- Experience of preparing reports and statements to meet legal and court procedures and including taking the lead role in complex investigative work.
- Experience of working as an enforcement officer in an Environmental Health department
Contract
- Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend
- PAYE via Umbrella
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
