1 Year Fixed Term Contract
Salary from£47,616 to £52,776 pa, depending on skills and experience
Plus lease car or cash alternative of up to £3,050 pa
Ashford Borough Council is looking for a Team Leader to manage the Food and Health & Safety Team. You will be expected to supervise officers working across all aspects of the team’s work which includes Food Hygiene, Infectious Disease Control, Commercial Health and Safety, Licensing of Activities involving Animals, Public Health and work associated with registrations and enquiries for the Beauty Sector.
We are looking for an experienced manager who is flexible over the duties they are assigned, who is keen to develop and enjoys working and being part of a team.
You will undertake pro-active and reactive interventions; investigate and respond to complaints and enquiries and support or lead Food Hygiene training where possible.
You will be working in a highly respected team and will have a great opportunity to develop your career. Self-motivation, professionalism, commitment and enthusiasm are essential.
The successful candidate will be an Environmental Health Officer / Practitioner. You will have, suitable qualification(s) to undertake relevant Food Hygiene controls as defined by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) Food Law Code of Practice and the accompanying Practice Guidance including registration awarded by the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) or Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) (or equivalent).
You ideally will be fully competent and in a position to be authorised in accordance with Food Law Code of Practice requirements with minimal delay.
