We are ideally looking for Team Managers who have experience leading a children with disabilities team – they need experience of providing supervision to social workers.
Overall Purpose of Job:
This role is integral to realizing the Newham Together Vision by supporting the implementation of the Strategic Improvement Plan for Children’s Services and the Children and Young People’s plan. The successful candidate will drive the adoption of a Restorative approach and Systemic model of social work practice within the organization. Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, they will play a key role in achieving service plans and priorities. Additionally, the role involves providing leadership for statutory service delivery within a defined area, ensuring high standards and positive outcomes for children, care leavers, and families. The post holder will oversee a team of practitioners, Assistant Team Managers, Senior Social Workers, and student social workers, while also managing a budget for service-specific delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with experience working in children's services.
- Completion of ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment) is essential.
- Strong assessment, communication, and report writing skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
