Bridgend County Borough Council have an exciting opportunity for an experienced social work professional to be appointed in the newly created position as Team Manager for Adult Safeguarding & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
As a Team Manager, with specific responsibility for safeguarding adults, you will work as part of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and provide support to the Service Manager in their position as Lead professional for Adult Social Care.
You will be a registered social worker with an in-depth and broad knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory functions and national guidance that pertains to children, young people and adults, particularly safeguarding and mental capacity. You will have experience in safeguarding.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees
Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
A vetting check by South Wales Police is a requirement for this post.
